A1 Drops A Hot New Mixtape!


Alabama triple-threat A1 is delivering fresh new heat that is suited for the streets. Through self-produced beats and gritty lyrics, A1 talks about things that are most important to him. He's living life to the fullest, working hard, and becoming a game changer. In songs like "Legendary" and "Pull Up", A1 brings heat that people can grasp and relate to. Check out his mixtape below!

A1

Joshua B Owens (born June 18, 1990) is an American record producer, rapper, songwriter, recording engineer and entrepreneur. Owens was given the name A1 from his peers for his consistent quality music and ambitious hustle. 

A1 founded A100DRUMZ Productions in 2011 and Day-N-Night Recording Studio in 2012. He also co-founded Twist Up Entertainment along with long time friend and associate, Yung HD in 2012. After placing 3rd Best Producer at Real Talk Urban Magazine Award Show in 2012 alongside industry vets like Heartbeatz & Ron G not to mention being placed on the magazines May 2012 (10th issue) cover. 

A1 began his rap career with his first ever song – "Hustle Till I Fall"  gaining city wide exposure after being featured on Dj Oktoba's Kings of Mardi Gras mixtape. His second song, "House Party" featuring Yung HD being played in night clubs and soon receiving local radio airplay. 

It was also his first official video to be shot after being contacted by local video director, KarlyWorld, for his Kings of Mardi Gras performance during the Joe Cain Sunday parade. That video went on to win Real Talk Magazine's 'Music Video Of The Year' in 2013. 

In 2014, A1 opened on tours with Trinidad James and Rittz OD Tour, along with Raz Simone, and Tuki Carter. In 2015 he hit the road doing shows with Twist Up in Atlanta, Pensacola, Birmingham, and Mobile to promote their collaborated mixtape EP - Double Trouble released New Years 2016

Following the release of his official video to "Pull Up" in January 2017, he released his self produced and engineered debut album Aint For Nothin for free download on DatPiff (and most major streaming services) on February 4th, 2017. On that same day, he opened up for Curren$y in downtown Mobile, AL’s, Soul Kitchen.
